Malolotja National Park covers 18,000 hectares (44,000 acres) of mountain wilderness on Eswatini's northwestern border with South Africa. The park includes Ngwenya Mountain, Eswatini's second highest mountain (1,829 m), [ 1 ] and Malolotja Falls which drop 89 metres (292 ft), the highest in Eswatini. [ 2 ]
Protected areas of Eswatini include any geographical area protected for a specific use inside the landlocked country of Eswatini, in southern Africa. Within Eswatini there is a mix of national, private and community-owned protected areas. They include national parks, nature reserves, wildlife sanctuaries and game reserves.
It is Eswatini's largest protected area [5] and park. [1] The park and its adjacent dispersal areas cover 30,000 hectares (300 km 2) of Swazi bushveld. [3] It is a flat lowland area, covered with ancient hardwood trees like knobthorn, leadwood and tambuti, with some grasslands and shallow pans. [3]
