Ormsby House is a closed hotel and casino in Carson City, Nevada.Originally opened in 1972, it closed on October 30, [1] 2000, for extensive renovations. The re-opening was originally planned for July 4, 2001, but was pushed back many times due to many construction delays, many remodels, and management changes. [2]
In the mid-2000s, real estate owner Paul Segelman sought to develop the property for a housing complex, which was tentatively called Carson City Homes, [4] [5] though this idea never came to fruition and was abandoned. The property was last put up for auction in September 2009.

The Dr. William Henry Cavell House, at 402 W. Robinson St. in Carson City, Nevada, United States, was built in 1907. It is one of two Carson City houses constructed from the same plans, designed by Oakland, California architect John Conant. It includes Shingle Style and Colonial Revival architectural elements. [2]
