The participating teams in Division 2 were the Under-19 women's teams from Botswana, Eswatini, Kenya, Lesotho, Malawi, Mozambique and Sierra Leone. The top two teams from the Division 2 qualifier (Kenya and Malawi) joined the under 19 women's teams from Namibia, Nigeria, Rwanda, Tanzania, Uganda and Zimbabwe in the Division 1 tournament. [7]
