Kamila Sergiivna Konotop (Ukrainian: Каміла Сергіївна Конотоп, born 23 March 2001 in Kharkiv) [1] is a Ukrainian weightlifter. She won the silver medal in the women's 59 kg event at the 2023 World Weightlifting Championships held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
At the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo (held in 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic), Campbell became the first British female weightlifter to win a medal at the Olympics, with a silver in the women's +87 kg event. She also has two sisters, Katie and Beth. At the age of 12, she began weightlifting to strengthen her muscles for softball. [2] She graduated from Savannah Arts Academy in 2001 and received a degree from Savannah College of Art and Design in 2006. [3]
Kanae Yagi (八木 かなえ, Yagi Kanae) is a Japanese weightlifter. [1] She competed at the 2012 Summer Olympics in the Women's 53 kg, finishing 13th. [2] At the 2016 Summer Olympics, in the same weight category, she finished top of Group B and 6th overall. [3] She won at the 2013 Summer Universiade in the Women's 53 kg.
