The Pierce County Community Newspaper Group (PCCNG) consists of four newspapers in the Tacoma, Washington area. The papers include the Tacoma Weekly (formerly the Tacoma Monthly), the Fife Free Press, and the Milton-Edgewood Signal. The Tacoma Monthly began in 1987 and became a weekly paper in 1994. It is distributed around Tacoma.
The combined newspaper was published first on 2 October 1922. On 20 October 1969 The Chronicle format was changed from broadsheet to tabloid. The Chronicle and the Downs Star merged on 1 October 1970 under a new company Toowoomba Newspapers Pty Ltd. The newspaper was relaunched as Toowoomba's Mail in September 2003.

James F. Matthiesen. James Fredrick Matthiesen, 85, of Pasco, died Nov. 1 at Chaplaincy Hospice Care. He was born in Seattle and lived in Pasco since 1978.
