In 2007 Save Mount Diablo published Mount Diablo, Los Vaqueros & Surrounding Parks, Featuring the Diablo Trail, the most accurate and up-to-date map of Mount Diablo's more than 90,000 acres (36,000 ha) of protected lands. It includes 100 access points, 520 miles (840 km) of trail, and 400 miles (640 km) of private fire roads.
The Mare Island San Pablo Bay Trail is a walking trail on Mare Island in Vallejo, California. [1] [2] [3] It runs along the west side of Mare Island, near San Pablo Bay. It has views of the bay and mountains, including Mount Diablo and Mount Tamalpais. [3] [4] [5] The trail encircles a U. S. Navy Base Realignment and Closure Investigation Area.
Chamise and Bollinger Creek Loop trails lead to Las Trampas Ridge, east of Bollinger Creek.The ridge offers good views of the Ygnacio, San Ramon and Amador valleys, as well as Mt. Diablo and the Carquinez Straits. [1] There are two picnic areas, named Steelhead and Shady, near the parking lot.

Crockett Hills Regional Park is a regional park in Contra Costa County, California, just south of Crockett. opened to the public in 2006. [1] Part of the East Bay Regional Park District, it consists of 1,939 acres (7.85 km 2) of rolling grasslands, wooded ravines and shoreline along the south bank of the Carquinez Strait.
Trails reach Mission Peak from four staging areas: Stanford Avenue, Ohlone College, Sunol Regional Wilderness, and Ed R. Levin County Park. Depending on weather conditions, Bay Area peaks including Mount Diablo, Mount Hamilton, and Mount Tamalpais can be seen.
