The Mississauga Academy of Medicine is a partnership between U of T Mississauga, U of T's Faculty of Medicine, Trillium Health Centre and Credit Valley Hospital. In August 2011, The Mississauga Academy of Medicine welcomed 54 students to its first year class and expects to have 216 students enrolled in the four-year program by 2014. [40]

The University of Toronto Mississauga (abbreviated as UTM or U of T Mississauga) is a division of the University of Toronto located in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada. The campus opened in 1967 as Erindale College, [ 6 ] set upon the valley of the Credit River , approximately 33 km west of Downtown Toronto .
Erindale is an historical neighbourhood located within the central part of the city of Mississauga, west of Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Erindale is named in honour of the birthplace of the first rector of the village, Reverend James Magrath from Erin . [1] It runs along Dundas Street West.
University of Westminster Students' Union (UWSU) was founded in 1966 as The Polytechnic Students' Union. Its first President was Owen Spencer-Thomas (1966–1967). [ 42 ] During the 1970s the newly formed Polytechnic of Central London Students’ Union (PCLSU) engaged in a strategy of protest and direct action.
Early in 2000, the Erindale College Library was renamed the University of Toronto Mississauga Library. In 2004, construction began on a new 110,000-square-foot (10,200 m 2), $34-million library building project—the Hazel McCallion Academic Learning Centre (named after former City of Mississauga mayor Hazel McCallion).
