Emily Hauser (born 1987 or 1988) [1] is a British scholar of classics and a historical fiction novelist. She is a lecturer in classics and ancient history at the University of Exeter and has published three novels in her 'Golden Apple' trilogy: For the Most Beautiful (2016), For the Winner (2017) and For the Immortal (2018).
In 1998 Mitchell was appointed as lecturer in Classics and Ancient History at the University of Exeter becoming associate professor and then professor in 2013. She became the Director of the Centre for Mediterranean Studies in May 2007. [ 8 ]
Neville Morley (born 12 March 1969) is a British ancient historian and professor at the University of Exeter. Morley studied history and classics at Emmanuel College of the University of Cambridge. He received a doctorate from Cambridge in 1994 for a dissertation entitled "Metropolis and hinterland: the city of Rome and the Italian economy 200 B.C.
In 1977, he moved to the University of Exeter where he had been appointed Professor of Classics. [3] [7] He was head of the Department of Classics and Ancient History until 1990. [7] He was Whitney J. Oates Fellow at Princeton University in 1988 and 2008. [3] He retired from Exeter in 2001 and made emeritus professor. [7]
Robert George Morkot, FSA (born 1957) is an archaeologist and academic, specialising in Ancient Egypt.He is a Senior Lecturer in Archaeology at the University of Exeter.His current research is focused on the external relations of Ancient Egypt, particularly the relations with Kush (Sudan).
