Waking Ned (titled Waking Ned Devine in North America) is a 1998 comedy film written and directed by Kirk Jones and starring Ian Bannen, David Kelly, and Fionnula Flanagan. Kelly was nominated for a Screen Actors Guild Award for his role as Michael O'Sullivan. [4] The story is set in Ireland but was filmed on the nearby Isle of Man.
Kirk Raymond Jones (1962 or 1963 – c. April 19, 2017) was an American who became the first person to survive going over Horseshoe Falls, the largest waterfall of Niagara Falls, without safety equipment, in 2003. He then went over Niagara Falls again in 2017 with a plastic ball and died.
