The Citadel Military College of South Carolina [6] (simply known as The Citadel) is a public senior military college in Charleston, South Carolina, United States.Established in 1842, it is the third oldest of the six senior military colleges in the United States.
It was established in 2002 as The Citadel reorganized its existing departments into the five schools. [1] As of January, 2021, the school was located in the college's newest academic building, Bastin Hall. [2] [3] The school was renamed in 2017 following a sizeable donation from Tommy and Victoria Baker. [4]
