Solubility in water. 1080 mg/L at 25 °C log P: 2.42 Vapor pressure: 0.002 mmHg (25 °C) [2] Magnetic susceptibility (χ) ... Diethyl phthalate (DEP) is a phthalate ...
[22] [23] [5] Low-molecular-weight phthalates like dimethyl phthalate and diethyl phthalate are used as fixatives for perfumes. [24] [25] Dimethyl phthalate has been also used as an insect repellent and is especially useful against ixodid ticks responsible for Lyme disease.
The tables below provides information on the variation of solubility of different substances (mostly inorganic compounds) in water with temperature, at one atmosphere pressure. Units of solubility are given in grams of substance per 100 millilitres of water (g/(100 mL)), unless shown otherwise. The substances are listed in alphabetical order.
Bis(2-ethylhexyl) phthalate (di-2-ethylhexyl phthalate, diethylhexyl phthalate, diisooctyl phthalate, DEHP; incorrectly — dioctyl phthalate, DIOP) is an organic compound with the formula C 6 H 4 (CO 2 C 8 H 17) 2. DEHP is the most common member of the class of phthalates, which are used as plasticizers.
The following chart shows the solubility of various ionic compounds in water at 1 atm pressure and room temperature (approx. 25 °C, 298.15 K). "Soluble" means the ionic compound doesn't precipitate, while "slightly soluble" and "insoluble" mean that a solid will precipitate; "slightly soluble" compounds like calcium sulfate may require heat to precipitate.

The Diethyl Phthalate (DEP) Market is poised for robust growth, driven by its widespread applications across industries such as cosmetics, personal care, pharmaceuticals, and plastics. This versatile compound is used as a solvent, plasticizer, and fragrance carrier, positioning it as a critical material in various end-use sectors.
Diisoundecyl phthalate (DIUP), used for insulation of wires and cables, car undercoating, shoes, carpets, pool liners. Good high temperature and outdoor weathering performance; Ditridecyl phthalate (DTDP) is the highest molecular weight phthalate plasticizer, providing greater performance at high temperature. It is the preferred plasticizer for ...
