St Helier (/ ˈ h ɛ l i ər /; Jèrriais: Saint Hélyi; French: Saint-Hélier) is the capital of Jersey, the largest of the Channel Islands in the English Channel.It is the most populous of the twelve parishes of Jersey, with a population of 35,822, [4] over one-third of the island's total population.

Mount Bingham also known as South Hill is a hill (48 meters; 157 feet) in St. Helier, the capital of the Channel Island of Jersey.It is named after Sir Francis Richard Bingham who served as Lieutenant Governor of Jersey from 1924 until 1929.

It aims to meet most development needs in the existing built-up areas, especially the town of St Helier. Henry Smith (d. 1627) was a wealthy citizen and salter of London who gave much money to parishes in London and Surrey during his lifetime and in his will. He is buried in Wandsworth parish church and is supposed to have been born in Wandsworth.
Fort Regent is a 19th-century fortification and leisure centre on Mont de la Ville (Town Hill), in St. Helier, Jersey. [1] [2] The fort is in close proximity to the fortified South Hill Engineers Barracks at La Collette and overlooks the 16th-century Elizabeth Castle and harbour to the west.
