Here's where TikTok's new favorite sound comes from?
The TikTok Billboard Top 50 is a chart published weekly by Billboard in the United States. It ranks the most popular songs on the social media platform TikTok in the United States based on a combination of total creations, video views and user engagement on the platform.
In late 2023, the song gained a viral resurgence on the video app TikTok after a trend named the "Ceiling Challenge" was created. As a result, more than 57,000 videos were made using the song. The trend caused the song to peak at number 40 on the Billboard Hot 100 in January 2024, two years after its original release. [1]
The song went viral on TikTok, resulting in the original audio to receive over 100 million views on YouTube and pushing Sub Urban to sign a deal with Warner Records after topping Billboard ' s Alternative charts.
