Club Sport Emelec is an Ecuadorian sports club based in Guayaquil that is best known for their professional football team. The football team plays in the Ecuadorian Serie A , the highest level of professional football in the country.
Estadio Banco del Pacífico Capwell is a multi-purpose stadium in Guayaquil, Ecuador.It is currently used mostly for football matches and is the home stadium of Emelec.It was announced right after Emelec won the 2013 Ecuador Serie A title that Estadio George Capwell would be completely remodeled to hold a capacity of 40,000 fans.
Litvak began his professional playing career in Ecuador with Club Sport Emelec in 1947. He played for Club Deportivo Universidad Católica in Chile from 1952 to 1957. Emelec, named for the first syllable of each word in the company's name, [1] is one of Ecuador's leading football clubs.
In 2011, he returns to Club Sport Emelec, and was champion in 2013 and 2014. [citation needed] After scoring 14 goals as Emelec won the 2014 championship, Mena extended his contract with the club for two years in February 2015. [3] Mena scored the first goal in the 2014 Ecuadorian Serie A season final match against Barcelona SC, winning 3–0.
