Joseph Priestley "J.P." McCarthy II (March 22, 1933 – August 16, 1995) was a radio personality best known for his over 30 years of work as the morning man and interviewer on station WJR in Detroit, Michigan.
Winters died of natural causes on the evening of April 11, 2013, in Montecito, California, at the age of 87. [ 5 ] [ 38 ] [ 39 ] He was survived by his two children and five grandchildren. [ 40 ] [ 41 ] He was cremated, and his ashes were given to his family.
