The amplification factor of 6N2P is 98 which is marginally lesser than 12AX7, its higher heater current draw is similar to a 5751. The Chinese 6N4 (whose military issued variant is known by the designation 6N4-J) which is a pin-compatible replacement for the 12AX7 but has an amplification factor of 97.5 is the closest equivalent to the 6N2P.
12AX7 (also known as ECC83 [1]) is a miniature dual-triode vacuum tube with high voltage gain. Developed around 1946 by RCA engineers [ 2 ] in Camden, New Jersey , under developmental number A-4522, it was released for public sale under the 12AX7 identifier on September 15, 1947.
Double triodes of the 12AU7 family have a center-tapped filament for use in either 6.3V 300mA or 12.6V 150mA heater circuits. As of 2012 [update] the 12AU7 continued to be manufactured in Russia, Slovakia ( JJ Electronic ), and China.
It belongs to a large family of dual triode vacuum tubes which share the same pinout (EIA 9A), including in particular the very commonly used low-mu 12AU7 and high-mu 12AX7. The 12AT7 has somewhat lower voltage gain than the 12AX7, but higher transconductance and plate current, which makes it suitable for high-frequency applications.
Keying by omitting a pin is also used in 8- (subminiature), 10-, and 12-pin tubes (a variant 10-pin form, "Noval+1", is basically a nine-pin socket with an added center contact). As with loctal tubes, the pins of miniature tube are stiff wires protruding through the bottom of the glass envelope which plug directly into the socket.
6N3P vacuum tubes USSR. The 6N3P (Russian: 6Н3П) is a Russian-made direct equivalent of the 2C51 medium gain dual triode vacuum tube.It may be used as an amplifier, mixer, oscillator or multivibrator over a frequency range AF through VHF.
The 6SN7 has a 6.3 V 600 mA heater/filament. The 12-volt 300 mA filament equivalent is the 12SN7GT or 12SN7GTA. The 14N7 is the Loktal version of the 12SN7GT. There was also a comparatively rare 8V 8SN7 for 450 mA series-string TV sets) and 25 Volt/0.15 Amp heater version: 25SN7GT.
The correct Russian equivalent to the 6DJ8/ECC88 is the 6N23P, the latter has a S of 12.5 mA/V and a gain of 33. The closest western equivalent to the 6N1P is the well known 6BQ7A. A ruggedized/extended ratings version of the tube is designated 6N1P-EV ( Russian : 6Н1П-ЕВ ).
