[8] The improved model was co-developed in Chicago by Paul Renard and Howard Holman for Wurlitzer. [9] [10] The first model, the 100 was announced in August 1954 at a trade show in Chicago, with production beginning later that year. The 110 and 111 models were introduced shortly afterward, with the 112 appearing the following year.
The C90 was introduced in 1947 as a follow-on to the A65, which had been in production since 1939. [7] [8] Many of the designs powered by the C90 are upgraded variants of earlier A65 powered designs, such as the Piper J-3 Cub and PA-11 Cub Special, [9] Aeronca 7AC, [3] and Luscombe 8A. [10] The engine was developed from the earlier O-190 by increasing the stroke 1 ⁄ 4 inch.
The prototype (OK-NIA) was converted from the L-200A prototype in 1960 and tested in 1961-1963. In all, 367 L-200s were built [ 2 ] by 1964 , including 3 prototypes and 197 L-200D (eight L-200A and the L-200A prototype were converted to L-200D as well). 5 aircraft were manufactured from parts by Libis in Yugoslavia .
The C.202 was a development of the earlier C.200 Saetta, powered by an Italian-built version of the German Daimler-Benz DB 601Aa engine and featuring a redesigned fuselage for greater streamlining. [3] [4] During July 1941, the Folgore went into service with the Regia Aeronautica.
The BAe 146-300QC (Quick Change) is the convertible passenger/freight version and the BAe 146-300QT (Quiet Trader) is the freighter version. The Avro RJ version of the 146-300, the second such development of the 146 product line, became the Avro RJ100. It shared the fuselage of the 146 version, but with interior, engine, and avionics improvements.
