The parent company is a single-member limited liability company. As development, the corporation incorporated, invested and founded many daughter companies.
On January 4, 2006, according to Decision No. 01/2006/QĐ-BBCVT of the Ministry of Post and Telecommunications (now the Ministry of Information and Communications), the Vietnam Television Technology Investment and Development Company was reorganized into the VTC Multimedia Corporation (still referred to as VTC), expanding its business activities.
Later, on July 29, 2005, the Vietnam Television Technology Investment and Development Company was converted into the Multimedia Corporation - VTC. On June 28, 2010, VTC was converted into a one-member limited liability company (LLC) wholly owned by the state under Decision No. 929/QĐ-BTTTT of the Ministry of Information and Communications.
