The Blazer launched with two engine options: a standard 2.5 L I4 engine rated at 144 kW (193 hp; 196 PS) and 255 N⋅m (188 lbf⋅ft) of torque, and a 3.6 L V6 engine, rated at 227.5 kW (305 hp; 309 PS) and 365 N⋅m (269 lbf⋅ft) of torque.
