Aumsville is a city in Marion County, Oregon, United States. The population was 4,234 at the 2020 census . It is part of the Salem Metropolitan Statistical Area .
Mill Creek is a 26-mile (42 km) tributary of the Willamette River that drains a 111-square-mile (290 km 2) area of Marion County in the U.S. state of Oregon. [4] Flowing generally west from its source south of Silver Falls State Park, it passes through the cities of Aumsville, Stayton, Sublimity, and Turner before emptying into the Willamette in Salem.
Marion County was created by the Provisional Legislature of Oregon on July 5, 1843, as the Champooick District, one of the original four districts of the Oregon Country along with Twality (later Washington), Clackamas, and Yamhill counties. The four districts were redesignated as counties in 1845.
