Cordova, officially the Municipality of Cordova (Cebuano: Lungsod sa Cordova; Filipino: Bayan ng Cordova), is a municipality in the province of Cebu, Philippines. According to the 2020 census, it has a population of 70,595 people. [3] Also spelled Cordoba, most of the municipality lies on separate islands off the southern coast of Mactan Island.

The project is designed to cut travel time between the Mactan–Cebu International Airport and Cebu City, and to maintain traffic congestion in the city and the crowding of motorists in the city's main highway. [1] The expressway is set to be operational by 2025. Once completed, the expressway is projected to serve 50,000 vehicles per day. [2]

The city's land area is only 4.5% of the total land area of Metro Cebu and less than 1% of the total land of the province of Cebu.

The Cebu–Cordova Link Expressway (CCLEX), also known as the Cebu–Cordova Bridge and the Third Cebu–Mactan Bridge (or simply, the Third Bridge), is an 8.9-kilometer (5.5 mi) toll bridge expressway in Metro Cebu, Philippines. The bridge connects the South Road Properties in Cebu City in mainland Cebu and Cordova on Mactan island.
