The Primary Health Care and Resource Center (PHCRC) is in the rural village of Chapagaun, Lalitpur in Nepal. Chapagaun is in the wider Kathmandu Valley . The health centre was first established in 1972 as a Maternal and Child Health (MCH) clinic by the United Mission to Nepal . [ 1 ]

In 1957, it was relocated to Rawalpindi under plans to establish a medical complex in the city. The college was renamed as Armed Forces Medical College (AFM College) in September 1960 and finally assumed its current name in 1997. AFPGMI was affiliated with the Quaid-i-Azam University as the degree awarding
