Burt Lake State Park is a public recreation area covering approximately 125 acres (51 ha) on the south shore of Burt Lake at Indian River in Cheboygan County, Michigan.The state park features 2,000 feet (610 m) of sandy shoreline, swimming, boating access to the Inland Lakes Waterway, fishing on the Sturgeon River and Burt Lake, and camping facilities.
M-55 passes over the US 127 freeway and enters Houghton Lake Heights. There the highway runs southeasterly along the shores of Houghton Lake into downtown Houghton Lake. M-18 briefly joins M-55 through Prudenville on the east side of the lake, and M-55 follows West Branch Road as it continues east toward Interstate 75 (I-75). [2] [3]
Burt Lake is a 17,120 acres (69.3 km 2) lake in Cheboygan County in the U.S. state of Michigan. The western shore of the lake is on the boundary with Emmet County . The lake is named after William Austin Burt , who, together with John Mullett , made a federal survey of the area from 1840 to 1843.
The road also carries the County Road 407 (CR 407) designation and the name Grand Marais Truck Trail. Near the Blind Sucker Flooding, [4] [5] a man-made reservoir, [9] the truck trail turns south to intersect Deer Park Road. H-58 turns east on Deer Park Road and runs between Rainy and Reedy lakes to the south and Lake Superior to the north.

M-134 is also one of only two highways to utilize a ferry in Michigan; the other is US Highway 10 (US 10) which crosses Lake Michigan from Manitowoc, Wisconsin, to Ludington. Most of the mainland portion of M-134 is also part of the Lake Huron Circle Tour , and since 2015, it has been a Pure Michigan Byway under the name M-134 North Huron Byway .
