PTH 110 is one of the four three-digit urban expressway routes in the Manitoba provincial highway network. It is a two-lane highway that connects the Trans-Canada Highway to PTH 10 south of Brandon. It allows traffic going through Brandon to bypass the city, and provides easier access to the industrial areas located on the east side of the city.
PR 457, along with PR 340, serves as the main connector route between Brandon and CFB Shilo. Because of this, and that it travels at a lower elevation than the Trans-Canada Highway, the road is known locally as the "Low Road to Shilo". PR 457 is a paved road for its entire length. The speed limit along this road is 90 kilometres per hour (56 mph).
The route is often used by trucks and buses to Brandon, as well as commuters and tourists and campers. The speed limit is mostly 50 km/h (31 mph) in the suburban area, and 100 km/h (62 mph) in the rural areas. The length of the highway is 19.9 kilometres (12.4 mi).
