PT Indonesia Musik Nusantara (JKT48, pronounced "J-K-T forty-eight") is an Indonesian-Japanese idol girl group whose name is derived from the IATA airport code for the Jakarta metropolitan area ("JKT") and the Japanese idol group AKB48, owned by IDN (in Indonesia) and under license from Superball (a subsidiary of Vernalossom, from Japan).
JKT48's second generation members (then still audition finalists) were introduced on 14 October 2012 at fX Sudirman, Central Jakarta, Jakarta.. JKT48 is an Indonesian girl group formed in 2011 as a sister group of the Japanese idol group AKB48. [1]
