KY 447, which follows Wilson Road, heads west and curves north at a tangent intersection with Cabinet Lane at the route's bridge across Shaw Creek, a tributary of the Nolin River. The highway runs concurrently with KY 2802 between that route's Hutcherson Lane and W.A. Jenkins Road sections and passes through the south end of the city of Radcliff.
After leaving Louisville and Jefferson County, US 31E/US 150 begins to bypass downtown Mount Washington. Just before intersecting with KY 44, the road downgrades to a four-lane undivided highway. Going north, the route crosses the Adair County line twice, and enters the far eastern tip of Metcalfe County before entering Adair County the second time. [3] KY 61 has junctions with the Louie B.
