Prasads Multiplex is an Indian multiplex theater in Hyderabad, Telangana. [ 1 ] [ 2 ] It is India's third IMAX theatre. [ 3 ] [ 4 ] [ 5 ] It was earlier the largest IMAX 3D screen in the world with the Sydney IMAX Theatre (123 x 97 ft) having the largest IMAX screen.
The group is headed by Ramesh Prasad and Sai Prasad, son and grandson of the late L.V. Prasad respectively. It owns one of the major equipment and film facilities in India for feature film and advertising post production. The idea came after a visit to the Smithsonian Museum in Washington, D.C. in the early 1990s, where Ramesh watched an IMAX film To Fly (1976).
