Jane and Finch is a neighbourhood located in the northwest end of Toronto, Ontario, Canada, in the district of North York.Centred at the intersection of Jane Street and Finch Avenue West, the area is roughly bounded by Highway 400 to the west, Black Creek to the east, Sheppard Avenue to the south, and Steeles Avenue to the north.

Jane-Finch.com was launched on March 13, 2004, by Paul Nguyen. [3] It began as a rap and hip hop site and later evolved to promoting social issues in the area. [4] [5] In the process of building the website, Nguyen was helped out by his friend, Mark Simms. It eventually led to the production of a documentary Lost in the Struggle. [6]

The 35 Jane would serve Jane Street north of Eglinton, and a new 27 Jane South route would be created to replace service south of Eglinton. Finch West is a subway station on the Line 1 Yonge–University of the Toronto subway. It is located under Keele Street , north of Finch Avenue West . When Line 6 Finch West opens in the fourth quarter of 2024, [ 2 ] it will serve as the eastern terminus of that line.
