As of the 2020 United States census , the borough's population was 6,598, [ 10 ] [ 11 ] an increase of 160 (+2.5%) from the 2010 census count of 6,438, [ 20 ] [ 21 ] which in turn reflected a decline of 35 (−0.5%) from the 6,473 counted in the 2000 census .
