Live / l aɪ v /, often typeset as Līve, LĪVE, or +LĪVE+, is an American rock band formed in York, Pennsylvania, in 1984 by Ed Kowalczyk (lead vocals, guitars), Patrick Dahlheimer (bass), Chad Gracey (drums), and Chad Taylor (guitars). As of 2022, Kowalczyk is the only remaining member of the original lineup.

Pop Matters was highly critical of the album, claiming that Alive was "an album that deals in a calculated sort of emotional manipulation that comes up short of its targets in every conceivable way."
When vocalist Ed Kowalczyk left the band in 2009, Taylor formed the band The Gracious Few along with Live bandmates Patrick Dahlheimer and Chad Gracey and Kevin Martin and Sean Hennesy from Candlebox. They released their debut album The Gracious Few in 2010. In 2011, he announced that Live would reform without Kowalczyk.
