Hacienda de la Paz is a large estate property in the city of Rolling Hills, on the Palos Verdes Peninsula in the Los Angeles area of Southern California. [1] It was designed by the 2010 Driehaus Prize winner Rafael Manzano Martos with decorator Manuel Gavira Sanjuan [2] for owner/builder John Z. Blazevich [3] and is Martos' only project in the Americas. [4]
The shipyard buildings are the combination office and warehouse (c. 1920), mold/sail loft (c. 1900), boat house (1929), and machine shop (c. 1930). The remaining buildings are primarily one and two-story, frame, center hall plan dwellings built around 1870. [2] It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1983. [1]
Milford Memorial Hospital opened in 1938 and has undergone numerous expansions and improvements, including the addition of a cancer center in 2002 and an enlarged emergency services department in 2004.
