Deshabandu Shanthilal Nilkantha Wickremesinghe, popularly as Shan Wickremesinghe (born 20 December 1947), is a Sri Lankan media proprietor, television presenter and a broadcast engineer. [ 1 ] [ 2 ] He is the founder of Sri Lanka's first television station ITN and the current chairman of TNL TV television and radio network. [ 3 ]
Sri Lanka's second state-owned TV station - Sri Lanka Rupavahini Corporation (SLRC) - was established by the Sri Lanka Rupavahini Corporation Act No. 6 of 1982.
