What started out as an unsanctioned, one-night-only, stand-alone bull riding event held in conjunction with Ellensburg, Washington's Ellensburg Rodeo in 2002, [26] became a full-fledged PRCA-sanctioned tour in 2003. Xtreme Bulls events are held in conjunction with less than a handful of the PRCA's several hundreds of annual rodeos.
The Ellensburg Rodeo Hall of Fame is a cowboy hall of fame. The hall of fame for the Ellensburg Rodeo was established in 1997. The hall of fame writes a biography for each inductee in a permanent file. It also collects and stores inductee rodeo mementos and artifacts, among many other important functions.
