National Capital Region Transport Corporation approved Delhi–Panipat RRTS. Construction work will start in year 2023. Cost of this corridor around 21,627 crore. At four major stops in Panipat: Panipat Depot, Panipat North, Panipat South and Samalkha. Panipat–Meerut rail line, costing Rs 3540 crore, construction work will commence in year 2023.
The 70 km Delhi-to-Panipat section, also known as Delhi-Panipat Expressway, is being upgraded, [4] at a cost of ₹2,178.82 crores, to an elevated tolled expressway with 8 (4+4) main lanes and 4 (2+2) service lanes, which was completed in July 2023.

October 2024: Minister of Housing and Urban Affairs, Shri Manohar Lal announced that the commissioning of the Rapid Rail Transit System (RRTS) networks linking Delhi-Panipat and Delhi to Shahjahanpur-Neemrana-Behror and Alwar is expected to commence in 2025 [21] [22].

Panipat Elevated Corridor is an Indian elevated six-lane expressway located in Panipat, Haryana. The entire stretch has been developed into an elevated six-lane access-controlled highway to by-pass the city of Panipat. The expressway was built to ease the traffic on NH-1 (now NH-44, also known as the Grand Trunk Road) between Delhi and Amritsar.
