Robert Lyminge (fl. 1607–1628) [1] was an English carpenter and architect.His surname is also sometimes spelt Lemyinge or Liminge.. Lyminge's earliest record of employment is dated 1607 at the almshouses at Theobalds in Hertfordshire.
He married firstly in July 1614 Lady Philippa Sidney, a daughter of Robert Sidney, 1st Earl of Leicester. [8] They had a daughter. [9] Philippa died in 1620. [10] and Hobart married secondly Lady Frances Egerton, eldest daughter of John Egerton, 1st Earl of Bridgwater in February 1621, and they had by nine children but only one child, Phillipa, survived. He was knighted at Blickling by King Charles II of England in 1671 and succeeded his father as baronet in 1683. On 9 July 1684, he married Elizabeth Maynard, eldest daughter of Sir Joseph Maynard , and had by her a son and three daughters. [ 1 ]
