Islandeady (Irish: Oileán Éadaí) [1] is a village in County Mayo, Ireland, about halfway between the towns of Castlebar and Westport. The parish of Islandeady meets Castlebar to the east, Westport and Newport to the west, and Aughagower and Killawalla to the south. There is a view of Croagh Patrick to the west and Nephin to the northeast.
After completion of the works, which cost €3.2 million and were financed by Department of Arts, Heritage and the Gaeltacht, Mayo County Council, the South West Mayo Development Company and Fáilte Ireland, the building was officially re-opened by the Minister of State for Tourism and Sport, Michael Ring, in June 2015.
