L'Austral is a cruise ship operated by the French cruise line company Compagnie du Ponant.It is the sister vessel of Le Boréal and Le Soléal, being the same weight, length and breadth, along with having 132 cabins and suites for 264 passengers and 140 crew members like the other two ships.

Le Lyrial is a cruise ship built by Fincantieri in Ancona, Italy, for Compagnie du Ponant. [1] [2] It was delivered on 11 April 2015, [2] and operated its inaugural cruise in May 2015. [3] The name of the ship refers to the Lyra constellation in the northern hemisphere. [2]
The ship was built at the Fincantieri shipyard in Ancona, Italy, and was launched on the 6 December 2012, being christened by Kiki Tauck Mahar. [3] The vessel started its maiden voyage on 1 July 2013. Le Soléal became the first French commercial shipping vessel to traverse the Northwest Passage.
