Chattanooga FC was founded in 2009 by Tim Kelly, [5] [6] Krue Brock, Marshall Brock, Paul Rustand, Sean McDaniel, Daryl Heald, Hamilton Brock, Thomas Clark, and Sheldon Grizzle [7] to play in the National Premier Soccer League (NPSL), the fourth tier of the American soccer pyramid and considered roughly equal to the USL Premier Development League.
During his senior year of high school, Hernandez transferred from the Chattanooga FC Academy to the Atlanta United FC Academy. In high school soccer, Hernandez captained the team to a 23-0-0 record and to the Georgia State 6A Boys' Soccer Championship, [4] as well as the #1 high school ranking in the nation by USA Today.

While at high school, Garvanian played club soccer with the Colorado Rapids academy. In 2017, Garvanian played with the side's U16 team, scoring two goals in 16 regular season games, and also appeared eight times for the U18 team and six times with the USL PDL side Colorado Rapids U-23 .
In March 2023, he signed with Vancouver FC in the Canadian Premier League, [13] [14] becoming the second Korean-born player to play in the CPL.
