La Luna (released in the United States as Luna) is a 1979 drama film directed by Bernardo Bertolucci from a screenplay co-written with his brother Giuseppe and wife Clare Peploe. The film concerns the troubled life of a teenage boy and his relationship with his parents, including an incestuous relationship with his opera singer mother.
The short premiered on June 6, 2011 at the Annecy International Animated Film Festival in France, [1] and it was paired with Pixar's Brave for its theatrical release on June 22, 2012, being shown before the film's beginning. Enrico Casarosa (born 20 November 1971) [2] [3] is an Italian director, screenwriter and storyboard artist. Best known for his work at Pixar, he has directed the short film La Luna (2011) and the feature film Luca (2021), which both were nominated for Academy Awards.
