Paradiso is a music venue located in Amsterdam, Netherlands. Built in 1880 as a church for the Vrije Gemeente (Free Congregation), it was converted into a music venue and a youth entertainment centre in 1968. Until the 1990s, it was the largest concert club in Amsterdam. It is often referred to as the "poptempel" ("pop temple"). [1]

The venue has six halls: The Max (capacity: 1,500; opened in 1995, renovated in 2007), the largest room, hosts the biggest music acts and is also used for parties, meetings and film projections.
