The Belvedere is a historic building complex in Vienna, Austria, consisting of two Baroque palaces (the Upper and Lower Belvedere), the Orangery, and the Palace Stables. The buildings are set in a Baroque park landscape in the third district of the city, on the south-eastern edge of its centre.

A belvedere / ˈ b ɛ l v ɪ d ɪər / or belvidere (from Italian for "beautiful view") is an architectural structure sited to take advantage of a fine or scenic view. [1] The term has been used both for rooms in the upper part of a building or structures on the roof, or a separate pavilion in a garden or park.
In 1918 he completed his studies with a dissertation on the subject of the artistic development of the architect Johann Lukas von Hildebrandt. [2] He began his professional activity in 1919 as a research assistant at the Österreichische Galerie Belvedere (Belvedere Gallery) in Vienna, where he became curator in 1928.
