Umbagog Lake State Park is a 1,360-acre (550 ha) park in Errol, New Hampshire, on the southern shore of Umbagog Lake along Route 26. It is adjacent to the Umbagog National Wildlife Refuge . Activities in the state park include swimming, camping, canoeing, fishing, hiking, wildlife watching, and picnicking.
The lake is part of the Umbagog National Wildlife Refuge and Umbagog Lake State Park. Along its southernmost shore, there is a public campground and a public boat launch ramp which may be accessed from New Hampshire Route 26. There are 33 wilderness campsites, accessible only by boat, which are located around the lake. [1]

I spent a lot of time hiking around the region and in the White Mountains, canoeing on the north part of New Hampshire at (Umbagog Lake State Park). It is one of my favorite camping experiences.

Many of the state's highest peaks are located in the region, although the highest, Mount Katahdin, is not. The area is known for its crystal clear lakes and scenic hiking trails in the summer.
