The region is characterized by its hilly countrysize and many valleys. It has well-developed economical, financial, and trade sectors. Khomas Region occupies 4.5% of the land area of Namibia [5] but has the highest population of any of its regions (16.2%). Khomas is one of only three Namibian regions to have neither shoreline nor a foreign border.
By 1927, the area was served by three streetcar routes. Dunbar–Southlands became a part of Vancouver in 1929 when the Municipality of Point Grey merged with the City of Vancouver. The first major land development in Dunbar–Southlands took place in the mid-1920s with some of the homes that were built during this period still stand to this day.

Pacific Spirit Regional Park is a 860 hectares (2,100 acres) [2] park located in Point Grey to the west of the city of Vancouver, British Columbia.Located in Electoral Area A, it surrounds the University of British Columbia Vancouver campus on the shores of Georgia Strait in the Pacific Ocean.
