Ichigo Kurosaki (黒崎 一護, Kurosaki Ichigo) is a fictional character in the Bleach manga series and its adaptations created by author Tite Kubo. He is the main protagonist of the series, who receives Soul Reaper powers after meeting Rukia Kuchiki , a Soul Reaper assigned to patrol around the fictional city of Karakura Town.

In this special episode, Ichigo and a number of other characters take part in an alternate world that hinges closely on the stories of Aladdin and the Magic Lamp. Ichigo finds out that this is all a dream and strives to wake up, while the others are intent on finding a hidden treasure called the Snow Crystal.
At school, Hirako asks Ichigo again to join the Vizards, explaining that Ichigo's inner hollow will overwhelm him if he does not. Later, Hirako is confronted by Hiyori Sarugaki , another Vizard, who berates him concerning his lack of success in recruiting Ichigo.
Ichigo tells Shinji that he has only come to them because he wants to learn to control the hollow inside him, and Hiyori dons her hollow mask to fight Ichigo. As Ichigo was about to be defeated or being unwilling to use either his hollow mask or his bankai, his inner hollow surfaces and the other Vizards restrain him before he can harm Hiyori.
The episodes' plot follows the flashback arc of the series' storyline which retells the Vizard's past. The season aired from February to March 2009 on TV Tokyo. [ 3 ] The English adaptation of the anime is licensed by Viz Media , [ 4 ] which aired on Cartoon Network 's Adult Swim from May to July 2011. [ 5 ]
In order for Ichigo to transform into a Soul Reaper when Rukia is not around, she purchases some soul candy from the Urahara Shop for him. However, the candy is actually a modsoul, an artificial warrior from the Soul Society created to destroy hollows. Once inside Ichigo's body, the modsoul goes on a rampage while ruining Ichigo's social image.
