The UAAP beach volleyball competition was introduced as a demonstration sport in Season 69 and was made into an official sport in Season 72. The UST Tiger Sands men's team who were formerly called the Tiger Spikers won the tournament in Season 71 , [ 21 ] while the women's team had two unofficial third place finishes in Seasons 69 and 71 .
