WXYT-FM (97.1 MHz "97.1 The Ticket") is a commercial radio station in Detroit, Michigan, serving Metro Detroit and much of Southeast Michigan. It airs a sports radio format and is owned by Audacy, Inc. Its studios and offices are located in the nearby suburb of Southfield. It has an effective radiated power (ERP) of 15,000 watts.
Former names of the network include "The WXYT 1270 Detroit Lions Radio Network", "The WKRK Detroit Lions Radio Network", and "The Live 97.1 Detroit Lions Radio Network" (WKRK-FM is WXYT-FM's former callsign, and Live 97.1 is one of its former brandings). WXYT-FM was the Lions' flagship from 2004–2015.
On October 1, 2007, WXYT began a simulcast with FM sister station WKRK, which dropped its hot talk format in the process. Mike and Mike in the Morning was replaced by Deminski & Doyle, and the ESPN Radio affiliation was dropped in favor of Sporting News Radio. The AM/FM simulcast took the name "Detroit's Sports Powerhouse: 97.1 FM & 1270 AM".

Mike Valenti (born October 24, 1980) [1] [2] is a radio commentator based in Detroit, Michigan. He hosts The Mike Valenti Show with Rico (Formerly The Valenti and Foster Show and Sports Inferno) weekday afternoons from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. on WXYT-FM 97.1. His co-host for 13 years was Terry Foster, who retired in April 2017. [3]
