Wasaga Beach (or simply Wasaga) is a town in Simcoe County, Ontario, Canada. Situated along the longest freshwater beach in the world, [ 4 ] it is a popular summer tourist destination. It is located along the southern end of Georgian Bay , approximately 150 km (93 mi) north of Toronto and about 40 km (25 mi) northwest of Barrie .
In 2019, construction of a third 17,252 square foot (1,603 m 2) library was announced by the town, as part of joint facility which included a new twin-pad hockey arena. The project broke ground in September 2021, and was expected to be completed in the summer of 2023.

In combination with its continuation, Simcoe County Road 42, and in turn a portion of Highway 26 north of Stayner, it is a popular non-highway route (as an alternative to Highway 10 and former Highway 24) from the Greater Toronto Area to the Georgian Triangle, in particular the tourist towns of Wasaga Beach, Collingwood, and The Blue Mountains.
