Ulysses (Italian: Ulisse) is a 1954 [1] fantasy-adventure film based on Homer's epic poem Odyssey. The film was directed by Mario Camerini , who co-wrote the screenplay with writer Franco Brusati . The original choice for director was Georg Wilhelm Pabst but he quit at the last minute. [ 2 ]

Helen of Troy is a 2003 British-American television miniseries based upon Homer's story of the Trojan War, as recounted in the epic poem, the Iliad. The series was entirely shot on location in Malta .
Homer's authorship was infrequently questioned in antiquity, but contemporary scholarship predominantly assumes that the Iliad and the Odyssey were composed independently and that the stories formed as part of a long oral tradition. The poem was performed by professional reciters of Homer known as rhapsodes.
