Appaloosa is a band composed of lyricist/vocalist Anne-Laure Keib and musician Max Krefeld. The pair met when Anne-Laure left her native Paris to spend time in Berlin, and together they formed Appaloosa there in June 2006. [Ref 1] Keib writes the lyrics and serves as the band's vocalist and front-woman.
Clyde Raybould Battin was born in Gallipolis, Ohio, USA, attending local schools. [1] He discovered the electric bass when he was 17 years old. Two years later, he moved to Tucson to attend physical education classes at the University of Arizona.
The Festival was created in 2015 by the band Scythian, a group formed by brothers Alexander and Danylo Fedoryka.The festival creators designed Appaloosa as a celebration of roots music in the DC area, featuring local DC artists as well as musicians from genres ranging from Irish folk music to Bluegrass.

In 2011, Capps and his band the Lost Cause Minstrels released an album, also called Lost Cause Minstrels, on Royal Potato Family Records. [2] Capps released his first solo album, If You Knew My Mind, in 2005 on Hyena Records. [2] His second solo album, Wail & Ride, was released in 2006 on the same label, [2] followed by Rott & Roll in 2008.
