Ten Days That Shook the World (1919) is a book by the American journalist and socialist John Reed. Here, Reed presented a firsthand account of the 1917 Russian October Revolution . Reed followed many of the most prominent Bolsheviks closely during his time in Russia.
Reed and Bryant wrote and published books about their Russian experiences. Bryant's Six Red Months in Russia appeared first, but Reed's 10 Days That Shook the World (1919) garnered more notice. Bryant returned to the United States in January 1918, but Reed did not reach New York City until April 28. [43]
